Jack Bauer is the family man and the operative who has no qualms about chasing any terrorist on American soil and selflessly puts himself and his family in harms way or recklessly which ever way you will see it.
Jack finds himself facing death enough times on each day that comes from 24 Season 1-8 all the way to 24 Redemption where Jack moves to Africa to find peace only to be brought back into the fast paced life that has become his daily norm.
In 24 Jack finds himself alienated from friends and family and faces a series of misfortunes as he sacrifices himself for the greater good. From family confrontations to drug problems and long prison sentences in foreign jails, it is all in the days work for him. To understand why Jack does his thing so effectively and ruthlessly you need to see how his fellow agents work with him. You can almost feel for him as he struggles with his own personal relationships and those of the country he is called upon to serve. Without telling too much I recommend that you begin your addiction to 24 by watching 24 Season 1. You may be want to watch it online but that experience will not do justice to the action sequences and the picture quality and HD experience that you will lose out on when you watch it on a tiny screen.
24 has run its course but in looking forward to the movie version soon, it is a good idea to catch up with the series to find out where 24's Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) has come from, what he has endured and overcome and to wonder what is in store for him in the movie to come.
